Student Admission Requirements and Procedures
At MonCAST (Monkayo College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology), we strive to make the admission process as clear and straightforward as possible. Our goal is to ensure that prospective students meet all the necessary criteria and understand the steps involved in joining our academic community.
Readiness Assessment
Upon submitting the necessary documents for admission, each student-applicant is required to undergo a Readiness Assessment conducted by our Guidance Office. This assessment is an integral part of our admissions process at MonCAST (Monkayo College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology), designed to ensure that all prospective students are well-prepared for the academic challenges ahead.
Application for Admission Process
Only those student-applicants who took the readiness assessment can proceed to the submission of application. The following are the steps for the submission:
Step 1
Fill out the Student Registration Form.
Step 2
Submit photocopies of the required documents:
- PSA Birth Certificate
- Senior High School Report Card (SF9) / ALS Certificate
- Certificate of Residency
- Income Tax Return (ITR) / Certificate of Low Income
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- Indigenous Peoples Certificate (if applicable)
Step 3
Submit all the documents to the Admission Officer.
Result of Application for Admission
Student-applicants will be notified of the result of the application for admission assessment. Student-applicants who made it to the available slots (based on total points and quota system) will receive a Notice of Admission (NOA).
Enrollment Procedures
Incoming First-Year Students
The student-applicant who received the Notice of Admission can proceed to the enrollment process. Below are the standard procedures:
Step 1
Proceed to the Office of Admission for encoding of student information.
Step 2
Bring the following Admission Requirements:
- SHS Report Card/ALS Certification
- Form 137 (Transaction handled by MonCAST Registrar)
- Good Moral Certificate
- PSA Birth Certificate (Original + 2 photocopies)
- 2x2 ID Picture (2 pcs, white background)
- Application Form
- Cedula/Voter's Affidavit
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- Indigenous Peoples Certificate (if applicable)
- Barangay Clearance
- PSA Married Certificate (for married women)
- Php 775 for miscellaneous fees
Old Students
Procedures for enrollment of returning students:
Step 1
Proceed to the Office of Admission for updating student information.
Step 2
Consult your Program Heads for advising class schedules.
Step 3
Proceed to the Registrar for registration and printing of Certificate.
Step 4
Proceed to the Office of Student Affairs for validation of the Student ID.
Step 5
End of the Enrollment Process.
Transferee Students
The following shall be the standard procedures for the enrollment of transferee students:
Step 1
Proceed to the Office of Admission for encoding information.
Step 2
Submit all the ORIGINAL copies of the following documents together with a copy of your NOA to the Office of the Registrar:
Step 3
Proceed to the respective Program Heads for evaluation/crediting of courses and advising of the student class schedules.
Step 4
Proceed to the Office of the Registrar for the encoding, printing, and releasing of the Certificate of Registration.
Step 5
Proceed to the Office of the Student Affairs Services for the validation of the Student ID and copy of the Schedule of Activities.
Step 6
End of the Enrollment Process.
